About GOPS
Game of Pure Strategy (a.k.a. Goofspiel) is a no-luck card game invented at Princeton in the 1930s. Both players have the same hand of A–K. A prize is revealed each round; you each secretly bid one card; the higher bid wins. Spent cards are gone forever. After all 13 rounds, highest total wins.
